Corn Belt Morning

Iowa, 2004

Iowa is part of the corn belt of United States. Corn and soybeans are the dominant crops and growing very well here due to the soils are deep, fertile, and rich in organic material and nitrogen.

I went to a business trip in Nebraska in year 2004. Over a weekend, I went over to Iowa to stay in a corn and soy bean farm of my friend’s parent. Woke up early in the morning and I climbed to the roof of a warehouse where the corn and soy bean were kept and enjoyed the world by myself. Still remember the moment when I were alone at the rooftop seeing the morning golden light slowly lighten the sky over the horizon and the farm. The world is just quiet here.
