Pang Heong Restaurant in Batu Caves

Oh man..  This is really super nice.  The food here especially the hor fun is cooked in a style where I never seen in other place before.  The hor fun is covered with heavenly layer of superior gravy with egg drop.  As what mentioned in “Paradox of Life” blog – “the distinctive characteristic lies in its gravy which is yellowish in colour as compared to the clear ones at other places. Apparently, the gravy is cooked with plenty of egg yolks which give the colour and aromatic flavour”.  Beside the superior hor fun, the other popular dishes like pork libs porridge and Indian fried noodles are equally nice too.

Ping Xiang Restaurant started their business on year 1988 in an area of wooden houses where flooding was a common scene.  They bought the shop house and shifted there 5 years later to provide a better service to customer.  I like the shop with nostalgic feel.  Be prepared if you come.  The weekend crowds make you dying more for the food while waiting your turn to be seated.

Just remember to visit this shop when you are in Kuala Lumpur.  We are just lucky to be in Malaysia and Singapore where we can travel easily to Kuala Lumpur to have good food like this.
