Addiction Aquatic 上引水产

Addiction Aquatic is the best Japanese Restaurant I found in Taipei.   Situated in the midst of a busy, traditional fish market.   According to the official website, the food (sushi) section is opened from 9am.  It is extremely crowded during lunch and dinner time.  I visited on 830am in my last visit.  The place are still peaceful and the staff were doing routine check of all the live sea creatures (including the giant snow crab from Hokkaido and abalone from Australia).  This gave you a good chance to get close to the creatures and it is a good opportunity for photography too.   The staff there are friendly and willing to show you the creatures.   This is really a good start (or you may say a good warm up) before the sushi breakfast.

Address: No 18, Alley 3, Lane 410, Ming Zhu East Road, Taipei City

Hours:
6AM-9PM

Note 1 –  The traditional morning market (with mainly seafood) outside Addiction Aquatic is equally interesting.  If possible, try to time your visit in morning.

Note 2 – The environment in Addiction Aquatic are modern and good.  The sushi and other food price there are lower or comparable to other Japanese restaurant in Taipei to me considering the good standard.  It is a lot cheaper if you compare to Singapore and Hong Kong.
